“TOPIX DMS version 9.8, in its on-premise deployment variant, meets the applied audit criteria and, when used accordingly, supports a GoBD-compliant overall process within the company,” states the auditing and tax consulting firm PSP Peters Schönberger & Partner.
The audit was primarily based on the principles for the proper management and storage of books, records, and documents in electronic form as well as data access (GoBD). The evaluation specifically followed the criteria of the “GoBD Checklist for Document Management Systems 2.0” issued by the industry association Bitkom. As a result, the audit is based on transparent, traceable, and clearly defined standards that interpret the GoBD requirements specifically for document management systems.
The certificate not only represents a mark of quality for the DMS solution itself, but also provides software users with an important component in the context of designing their own risk management strategy. Key application scenarios for the use of document management solutions include the archiving of tax-relevant data, the digitization of paper documents followed by the destruction of the originals, the archiving of emails, and the storage of electronic incoming and outgoing invoices.
Peters, Schönberger & Partner (PSP) is one of the most renowned mid-sized firms in Germany. For over 40 years, their tax advisors, auditors, and attorneys have been supporting medium-sized enterprises with legal matters.
